While Kines foresees rain in the forecast, he told the Advance\/SILive.com that \u201cit\u2019s not out of the question there could be some wet snow mixed in.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, given that high temperatures will be above freezing, near 40 degrees, Kines does not anticipate any significant snowfall.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven if there was some snow mixed in, I guess I highly doubt that it would cause any issues,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Kines does not believe Saturday\u2019s storm will produce more than a quarter-inch of precipitation.<\/p>\n
The other chance for precipitation comes late Sunday from a storm offshore traveling northeast.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight now it looks like it stays far enough away out over the ocean that it doesn\u2019t bother us, but it\u2019s something that bears watching and if it would move, it could track closer to the coast, then, you know we can get a period of snow here sometime later Sunday or maybe early Sunday night,\u201d Kines explained.<\/p>\n
As of Wednesday morning, Kines does not believe there will be any \u201cmajor problems over the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of the two possibilities for precipitation, it\u2019s the storm later in the weekend that Kines is most concerned about.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight now, as I said, we think that\u2019s going to stay offshore\u201d added Kines. \u201cBut, there\u2019s always that chance that it does take a track closer to the coast and we do get snow.\u201d<\/p>\n
