Nearly 3 weeks in, no consensus on ending government shutdown in sight<\/a><\/p>\n Two days after Americans protested Trump administration policies at nationwide \u201cNo Kings Day\u201d rallies, congressional Republicans doubled down on their claims that the Democrats are beholden to radical elements of their party.<\/p>\n On Day 20 of a government shutdown with no end in sight, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said the rallies were about \u201cpolitics\u201d and \u201cspectacle.\u201d<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0U.S. envoys Witkoff and Kushner arrive in Israel to shore up Gaza ceasefire after dozens killed<\/a><\/p>\n Two of U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s envoys traveled to Israel today to shore up the ceasefire in\u00a0Gaza, a day after deadly violence gave the\u00a0fragile deal\u00a0its\u00a0first major test.<\/p>\n On Sunday, Israel had threatened to halt shipments of\u00a0humanitarian aid into Gaza, and its forces killed dozens of Palestinians in strikes after accusing Hamas militants of killing two soldiers.
