STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 A Grant City pizzeria employee is accused of attacking his boss during a workplace dispute, allegedly throwing punches and using a chair as a weapon, according to a source.<\/p>\n
Genc Limani of Mann Avenue in Meiers Corners stands accused in the assault at 97 Lincoln Ave. around 4 p.m. on Dec. 20, according to the criminal complaint and police.<\/p>\n
Napoli Pizza is located at the address provided by police.<\/p>\n
The incident began with a verbal dispute between the supervisor and Limani regarding online orders, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation. <\/p>\n
Limani hit his boss in the shoulder with a chair and flung the chair at the victim\u2019s body, the criminal complaint alleges.<\/p>\n
Limani punched the victim in the face, and, after placing his arm around the victim\u2019s neck, squeezed, the complaint alleges.<\/p>\n
The defendant threw two more chairs at the boss, hitting the victim\u2019s shoulder, before biting the victim\u2019s left wrist until it bled, the complaint alleges. <\/p>\n
The victim suffered physical injuries that included redness, bleeding and substantial pain to the face, shoulder, neck and wrist, police said.<\/p>\n
Limani was arrested that same day and charged with attempted assault, assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and harassment.<\/p>\n
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Criminal Court in St. George on Feb. 26, according to public records.<\/p>\n
An attorney for the defendant did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n
