A Brooklyn man allegedly threw out his boyfriend\u2019s rotting corpse with the trash<\/a> \u2013 but the stomach-turning odor was so foul the body didn\u2019t stay hidden for long, sources said.<\/p>\n

Christopher Moss, 38, was busted for concealing the corpse Sunday afternoon \u2014 two days after cops were called to a building on East 21st Street in Flatbush because of a putrid stink oozing into the halls from a sixth-floor apartment, cops and law enforcement sources said.<\/p>\n

Authorities found the \u201chighly decomposed\u201d body of Moss\u2019 lover Darrell Montgomery, 35, stuffed into a trash bag and ditched on the sidewalk, sources said.<\/p>\n

The body was so rotted that police initially thought it had been dismembered and had to wait for the medical examiner\u2019s office to remove it from the bag, according to the sources.<\/p>\n

No foul play was immediately suspected \u2013 and Moss has so far only been charged with trying to dispose of the remains and resisting arrest, the sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moss didn\u2019t go quietly when cops tracked him down through a tip and approached him as he walked at Nostrand Avenue and Beverly Road, the sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As officers tried to arrest him, he allegedly headbutted one cop and grabbed another officer\u2019s gun, according to the sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police were called to the Brooklyn building because of the smell coming from the corpse. Paul Martinka<\/p>\n

Moss was charged with concealment of a human corpse, as well as assault on a police officer, attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The stench still wreaked in the halls of the victim\u2019s building Monday, as neighbors were left baffled by what happened.<\/p>\n

Supermarket worker Sayuri Abundis, 23, who lives on the fifth floor, said Moss had been acting oddly for the past two weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201c[He] has been out front talking to himself,\u201d the resident said. \u201cHe\u2019s just been saying, \u2018Where are you? Open the door!\u2019 over and over again.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were always together but the last two weeks it was only him. Before he would get locked out he\u2019d call up to Darrell and ask him to buzz him in and they would be arguing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[Christopher] would scream at him, \u2018Wait till I get up there!\u2019\u201d Abundis said. \u201cThey were always arguing. It\u2019s always been like that. But the last two weeks he\u2019s been alone and he\u2019s just been talking to himself out loud.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neighbor Carl Smith said he\u2019d seen the couple together since he moved in two years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c[Moss] walked around mumbling a lot of s\u2014t before that happened, before they found the body,\u201d Smith, 62, said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moss has only been charged with disposing of the body and resisting arrest. Paul Martinka<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was talking to himself, walking back and forth right out here in front of the building and just walking around the block\u2026.just going to the store talking to himself,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m confused just like everybody else. I don\u2019t know why he did what he did. You would just see coming and going together all the time but the last two weeks or so it was just him walking around alone talking to himself.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The medical examiner\u2019s office will make an official ruling on Montgomery\u2019s cause of death.\u00a0<\/p>\n
