{"id":102061,"date":"2026-01-16T07:14:33","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T07:14:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/102061\/"},"modified":"2026-01-16T07:14:33","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T07:14:33","slug":"josh-lowe-gavin-lux-dealt-in-three-team-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/102061\/","title":{"rendered":"Josh Lowe, Gavin Lux dealt in three-team trade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The baseball offseason heated up in the span of a few minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>First, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/15\/sports\/kyle-tucker-picks-dodgers-over-mets-blue-jays-in-free-agency-stunner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kyle Tucker came off the market<\/a>, and then the Rays, Reds and Angels completed a three-team trade moments later.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the swap, outfielder Josh Lowe is heading to the Angels, infielder Gavin Lux and right-hander Chris Clark are going to Tampa Bay and left-handed reliever Brock Burke is going to Cincy, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JeffPassan\/status\/2011995193017323586\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ESPN\u2019s Jeff Passan reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lowe, who has played his whole career with the Rays, has a lot of upside for the Angels if he can stay healthy after two seasons of dealing with injury issues.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49707602;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38198716\" width=\"883\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/NYP073025YANKEES77JS.jpg\" alt=\"Josh Lowe reacts as he rounds the bases on his two-run homer \" class=\"wp-image-38198716\"  \/>Josh Lowe reacts as he rounds the bases on his two-run homer. JASON SZENES\/ NY POST<\/p>\n<p>The Rays appeared to be a team looking for him to have a bounce-back season, according to what Rays president of baseball operations Erik Neander said during the Winter Meetings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a tough couple years. He knows that. We know that,\u201d Neander said at the time, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/josh-lowe-looking-to-bounce-back-with-rays-in-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to MLB.com<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ve got an assortment of guys that we believe in them more than what they provided last year. Josh is one of them.
