Are NYC services down due to the AWS outage? What to know<\/p>\n
NEW YORK (PIX11) \u2013 An Amazon Web Services outage<\/a> caused users across multiple apps to experience disruptions early Monday, according to Downdetector.<\/p>\n Snapchat, Ring and Chime are just some of the platforms potentially affected by the outage. Are essential New York City services experiencing issues due to Amazon Web Services?<\/p>\n More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cAny impacts we are seeing appear residual or minor at this time. No significant resource requests have been made to NYCEM. We will share updates if the situation significantly changes,\u201d the New York City Office of Emergency Management wrote on X.<\/p>\n The MTA\u2019s in-app chatbot is down, according to the agency. It\u2019s unclear if it\u2019s related to the outage.<\/p>\n The global Microsoft outage<\/a> in July also didn\u2019t significantly affect services in the city.
