{"id":102553,"date":"2026-01-16T19:41:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T19:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/102553\/"},"modified":"2026-01-16T19:41:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T19:41:08","slug":"nyc-leads-projections-for-new-hotels-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/102553\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC leads projections for new hotels in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"headline\">Data<br \/>\nfrom CoStar also projects a dramatic increase in the number of hotels opening<br \/>\nover the next two years, rising from 749 in 2025 to 1,688 in 2027. <\/p>\n<p>NATIONAL<br \/>\nREPORT \u2014New York City and Phoenix are set to open the most U.S. hotel rooms in 2026, according to pipeline data from CoStar.<\/p>\n<p>The top<br \/>\nmarkets by projected 2026 room openings include: New York City (4,852 rooms),<br \/>\nPhoenix (3,650 rooms), Dallas (3,558 rooms), Orlando (1,988 rooms) and Miami<br \/>\n(1,954 rooms).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor a<br \/>\nsecond consecutive year, New York City leads the nation in expected new-build<br \/>\nopenings,\u201d said Isaac Collazo, senior director of analytics at STR. \u201cThis<br \/>\nshouldn\u2019t be a surprise, given that the market has also led the country in<br \/>\noccupancy for the last three years. That said, both room supply and room demand<br \/>\nare still lower today than they were in 2019, showing there is still<br \/>\nopportunity for further growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ik.imgkit.net\/3vlqs5axxjf\/HIT\/uploadedImages\/Articles\/News_Articles_HIT\/Forecasts\/CoStar%20new%20hotels%20top%20five.jpg?tr=w-1024%2Cfo-auto\" data-fancybox=\"\" class=\"show-zoom\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/CoStar new hotels top five.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive img-fullwidth\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore,<br \/>\nCoStar projects that the number of new hotels opening in the U.S. will double<br \/>\nby 2027. CoStar said 749 hotels and 79,116 rooms.
