{"id":103202,"date":"2026-01-17T11:17:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/103202\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T11:17:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:17:14","slug":"new-york-city-pizza-shop-opening-location-in-pittston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/103202\/","title":{"rendered":"New York City pizza shop opening location in Pittston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PITTSTON \u2014 A New York City pizza shop is opening a location in Pittston \u2013 and another is being eyed for Kingston.<\/p>\n<p>The owners of Grandma\u2019s One Pizza of Bleecker Street in Manhattan are busy renovating a storefront on South Main Street in Pittston with plans to open by the end of February.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Elsherbini, 40, one of the Grandma\u2019s One business partners, said he decided to open in Pittston because he has a friend who lives there that he frequently visits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI saw the potential Pittston has. And the landlord offered us a great location,\u201d Elsherbini said. \u201cPittston deserves a good pizza from New York \u2014 a good New York-style pizza and good friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grandma\u2019s One Pizza is slated to open at 14 S. He said he\u2019s in negotiations to another another location in Kingston, but the details are still being worked out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a family business. Our recipes come from back in the old country, the homeland,\u201d Elsherbini said, who described his family as half Italian and half Central American. \u201cThe reason we call it \u2018Grandma\u2019s One\u2019 is because our grandmother taught us how to make bread.
