(PIX11) \u2014 A man was slashed across the face by an unidentified attacker who made anti-LGBTQIA+ remarks on a subway train on Saturday night, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. The victim was kissing his boyfriend aboard a moving No. 6 train when an unknown assailant shouted an anti-gay slur at him, police sources said.<\/p>\n<p>A fight then ensued between the two parties.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/crime\/long-island-homelsss-man-murder\/\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\t3 men plead guilty to killing homeless man for \u2018revenge\u2019: DA\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During the argument, the suspect struck the victim with an unknown sharp object, causing a laceration to the right side of the victim\u2019s face, before exiting the train at the 23rd Street and Park Avenue station, police sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The victim got off the train at 14th Street Union Square.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police conducted a search but were unable to locate the suspect, according to sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he is expected to recover, police said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MANHATTAN, N.Y.
