Bergen County authorities are investigating a violent shooting that left a woman seriously injured early Sunday morning in Englewood.<\/p>\n

<\/a>According to officials, the incident occurred shortly before 3:55 a.m. inside a residence located in the 90 block of Charles Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police were dispatched to the scene after reports of gunfire and, upon arrival, found a female victim suffering from gunshot wounds to her back and arm.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Authorities said her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and a weapon was recovered by responding officers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Englewood Police Department responded alongside Bergen County authorities as the investigation unfolded.

The motive for the shooting has not been determined, and the investigation remains active.\u00a0<\/p>\n
