The woman killed in a horrific hit and run incident in Brooklyn early Friday morning has been identified as\u00a0Kianna Underwood, a former Nickelodeon child star, according to law enforcement sources.<\/p>\n

Underwood, 33, was fatally struck around\u00a06:50 a.m.\u00a0while crossing the intersection of\u00a0Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue\u00a0in Brownsville. Authorities say she was hit by a\u00a0black Ford SUV\u00a0traveling westbound on Pitkin Avenue. Surveillance footage shows the vehicle continuing for nearly a full block as Underwood was dragged underneath before her body fell into the roadway.<\/p>\n

The driver did not stop.<\/p>\n

Underwood was later found with severe trauma at the intersection of\u00a0Osborn Street and Pitkin Avenue\u00a0and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver fled, and as of this writing,\u00a0no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe Underwood had just exited a nearby bodega and may have been crossing against the traffic signal. Sources say the driver may not have initially realized they struck a pedestrian, though the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

Underwood appeared on the final season of Nickelodeon\u2019s sketch comedy series\u00a0All That\u00a0in 2005, joining a cast that included Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, and Kenan Thompson. She was also known for her role as\u00a0Fuschia Glover, the cousin of the title character on Nickelodeon\u2019s animated series\u00a0Little Bill, which aired from 1999 to 2004.<\/p>\n

Her acting r\u00e9sum\u00e9 extended beyond children\u2019s television. Underwood portrayed\u00a0Tanessha Labelle\u00a0in the 1999 comedy film\u00a0The 24 Hour Woman, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and had a minor role in the 2003 satirical Hip Hop film\u00a0Death of a Dynasty, starring Kevin Hart. She also spent a year on stage as\u00a0Little Inez\u00a0during the first national tour of\u00a0Hairspray, according to her IMDB profile.<\/p>\n

The incident has left many shaken, adding to ongoing concerns about pedestrian safety and accountability in hit and run cases across New York City.<\/p>\n
