Brooklyn Beckham <\/a>is breaking his silence on his estranged relationship with his family, including parents David<\/a> and Victoria Beckham<\/a>, amid his marriage to wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,\u201d Brooklyn, 26, wrote via his Instagram Story on Monday, January 19.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family. I\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn claimed that David, 50, and Victoria, 51, have \u201ccontrolled narratives in the press\u201d about their family for his \u201centire life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBrooklyn Beckham\u2019s parents, David and Victoria Beckham, were not in attendance when their 26-year-old son and his wife,\u00a0Nicola Peltz, renewed their vows, Us Weekly can confirm. A source close to Brooklyn and Peltz, 30, confirmed to Us on Saturday, August 2, that pair had a ceremony \u201cto celebrate their love and commitment and to create [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cThe performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they\u2019ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of the innocent people, to preserve their own facade,\u201d he claimed. \u201cBut I believe the truth always comes out.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cMy parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn\u2019t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola\u2019s dress<\/a> in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn went on to allege that weeks before his and Nicola\u2019s 2022 wedding<\/a>, his parents \u201crepeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe [him] into signing away the rights to [his] name, which would have affected [him], [his] wife and [their] future children.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because when the terms of the deal would be initiated,\u201d he claimed. \u201cMy holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since. During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me \u2018evil\u2019 because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola\u2019s Naunni at our table, because they both didn\u2019t have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cMy mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. l\u2019ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn alleged that Nicola has been \u201cconsistently disrespected\u201d by his family, \u201cno matter how hard we\u2019ve tried to come together as one.\u201d<\/p>\n
