FULL RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n The swimming teams went on the road Monday afternoon and recorded a split against NCAA Division II opponent College of Staten Island. The Bearcats men earned a convincing 148.5\u2013131.5 victory, while the women dropped a hard-fought meet by a score of 164\u201396.<\/p>\n
The highlight of the meet came from Allyse Alexander<\/a>, who reached the 1,000-point milestone for her career, becoming the 11th swimmer in Baruch College women’s swimming history to accomplish the feat.<\/p>\n
The Bearcats turned in several strong individual performances on the afternoon. Alexander Boyarsky<\/a> captured first place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.59 and followed it up with a win in the 100-yard freestyle (48.20). Lucas Vasquez<\/a> earned victories in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.15) and the 50-yard freestyle (22.55). Michael Guzman<\/a> took first in the men’s 200-yard butterfly, clocking in at 2:06.86.<\/p>\n
On the women’s side, Alexander added a victory in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:25.42, while Ashley Leal<\/a> won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.79.<\/p>\n
The meet concluded with the Bearcats men’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Alexander Boyarsky<\/a>, Leonardo Valdivia<\/a>, Eric Kim<\/a>, and Adrian Lengyel<\/a> touching first with a winning time of 1:31.01.<\/p>\n
The women’s team has now completed its regular-season schedule, while the men will wrap up their regular season on 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night with a road meet at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.<\/p>\n The CUNYAC Swimming Finals are scheduled to take place at Lehman College from Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1.<\/p>\n
