In the first ever Queens of the Pacific Women’s Softball Tournament, Guam\u2019s Smokin\u2019 Hot came away with the top trophy this past weekend at the Guerrero Field at Paseo.<\/p>\n
The weekend tournament drew two teams from Japan and one team each from the CNMI and Korea, along with two teams from Guam.<\/p>\n
In the end, it was the American Legion\/XSC team from Japan against Smokin\u2019 Hot.<\/p>\n
American Legion made a bold statement with a 16-2 win in the double elimination championship format.<\/p>\n
Smokin\u2019 Hot then fought back to win two in a row, 15-4 and 13-3, to be named Queens of the Pacific.<\/p>\n

According to tournament director Jessilyn Balajadia, there was nothing but great comments from the teams. She said it will be an annual event and looks forward to making it grow.<\/p>\n
