The\u00a0rapper\u00a0accused of shooting New York Jets cornerback<\/a> Kris Boyd grinned at supporters inside a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday \u2014 as prosecutors revealed the football player is still languishing in a hospital bed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Frederick Green<\/a>, 20, pumped his fist at a group of pals and family while smiling broadly inside Manhattan Supreme Court after pleading not guilty to attempted murder charges for the Nov. 16 Midtown shooting that left Boyd fighting for his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had surgery a few weeks ago. As of less than a week ago, my information is he is still in the hospital,\u201d Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Shilpa Kalra said of\u00a0Boyd, noting he\u2019s improved over several weeks and is listed in stable condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The chaos unfolded when the drill rapper and pals<\/a> mocked Boyd, teammates Jamien Sherwood and Irvin Charles for wearing flashy outfits while out at Asian-fusion hotspot Sei Less on West 38 Street around 2 am, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOutside, there is a verbal altercation that goes down the block. It dissipates,\u201d\u00a0Kalra\u00a0said, adding Green was spotted on video \u201cputting a mask on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moments later, another verbal altercation broke out, leading to a \u201cmelee,\u201d according to prosecutors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the physical altercation, there is pushing and shoving but no other weapons, no other weapons are seen,\u201d Kalra told Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Gregory Carro.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe defendant is seen taking out a firearm, you can see the muzzle flash. He shoots twice directly at the victim in this case.\u201d<\/p>\n

A bullet went through Boyd\u2019s\u00a0pulmonary artery, with the cornerback still going through surgeries months later, Kalra noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Green, a drill rapper who goes by \u201cTbo Zay,\u201d allegedly fled the scene<\/a> in a white BMW.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The next day, he hid in Buffalo, where he cut his hair, deleted his social media accounts and deactivated his phone in a\u00a0failed attempt to hide from police, prosecutors alleged.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police caught him there at a girlfriend\u2019s apartment weeks later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Boyd \u2014 a 5-foot-11 defensive back for Gang Green \u2014 joined the Jets in 2025. He previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
