Police say swastikas were found painted on a playground in Gravesend Park in two separate incidents.<\/p>\n
Officers discovered approximately 16 of the painted symbols Monday near 56th Street and 18th Avenue. Two days later, 57 more swastikas appeared at the same location.<\/p>\n
Police found the symbols painted in red on the slides, walls and floor of the playground just before 7:30 p.m. Monday, according to authorities. Paint bottles were recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n
The second incident happened just before 11 a.m. Wednesday. Officers discovered the swastikas painted in red and blue on the playground and handball court.<\/p>\n
The NYPD\u2019s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the vandalism.<\/p>\n
