MOTT HAVEN, Bronx (WABC) — A man apparently irate that he was being ejected from a subway train allegedly headbutted one police officer and spat on another officer and an MTA worker early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
The man was instructed to leave the northbound 6 subway train by police just after 2:15 a.m. in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.<\/p>\n
As he was being escorted off the train, his foot became stuck between the train car and the platform.<\/p>\n
The man became angry and began attacking the officers, the NYPD said. One was headbutted, and he spat at another.<\/p>\n
An MTA employee who came over to assist was also spit on.<\/p>\n
The two officers and the MTA employee were taken to Lincoln Hospital to be checked out.<\/p>\n
The suspect was taken to Jacobi Hospital for evaluation. Charges against him are pending.<\/p>\n
