Citing numbers with a probability range of 5% to 95% is idiotic and moronic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"2PAIX7LKIRGIDIMLAR3SX6OLWU\">\u201cMaybe they forgot the 1 in front of the 3? Idk?\u201d said another snarky commenter. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RRHFR3MXUBFUTPO4KTHJSDUD3M\">The Post said that the five boroughs were already under a winter storm watch, issued by the National Weather Service, calling for 6-12 inches of snow when Mamdani posted his statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7JDG6BYHSFFODNSSHOPMY7UFAE\">Current forecasts call for anywhere from 8-14 inches of snow to fall on the city this weekend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"J4GFF3NQLJDOBFZMIZNOULOX4Y\">New York City mayors in the past have been lambasted for poor reactions to snowstorms. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"XP6HA6ZBXNFYTFCZRNUSKG3H7M\">Mayor Bill de Blasio was scorched in 2014 when Islanders railed that plows and salters were slow to the rescue after a big snowstorm. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"F2IJW57DNBD3ZNXBCYCCQT5IJ4\">Mayor John Lindsay got clobbered when the city was slow to react to a 1969 snowstorm. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RL5RCCMRUVDM7F7V5U5QHDNOVU\">And Mayor Michael Bloomberg took a pounding when the city flubbed the 2010 Christmas blizzard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"IER6UZF4AZGNJAPLNGCC2366PI\">That was the year that Bloomberg pushed back against critics who said that the city was slow to react to the storm, saying that \u201cThe city is going fine.
