Meghan Markle<\/a> and Prince Harry<\/a> are continuing their Sundance Film Festival<\/a> appearances.\n<\/p>\n

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first-ever appearance at the annual event<\/a> for a special screening of their latest documentary,\u00a0Cookie Queens, on Saturday, Jan. 24, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the film\u2019s official premiere on Sunday, Jan. 25, in Park City, Utah.\n<\/p>\n

Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, posed on the red carpet at the Eccles Center Theater alongside director Alysa Nahmias and others involved in the coming-of-age documentary, which follows four Girl Scouts during the organization\u2019s iconic cookie-selling season.\n<\/p>\n

Speaking to PEOPLE on the red carpet, Meghan \u2014 who walked alongside Nahmias \u2014 shared a nostalgic favorite when asked about her go-to Girl Scout cookie.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a Thin Mints,\u201d she said with a smile. \u201cIt\u2019s such a classic. And as a Girl Scout, it was always the one that sold the fastest, so I think you remember it for that reason too.\u201d As for the long-debated freezer question, she added, \u201cI don\u2019t know if you\u2019re supposed to, but it\u2019s certainly a nice plus!\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the film\u2019s impact, Nahmias spoke about why the project resonated so deeply with her as a parent \u2014 a sentiment Meghan echoed.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me as a mom \u2014 and with my kids asking me to make a film that they and their friends would really want to watch \u2014 I hope it sparks conversations about what it means to grow up today, and opens up questions that can be difficult to have,\u201d Nahmias said. \u201cAbout the pressures that kids can feel from parents and society, especially girls \u2014 how we\u2019re perceived, what our value is, and how we participate in the economy and in society.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Meghan responded, praising the filmmaker\u2019s vision, telling PEOPLE, “There\u2019s nothing you can add to that. It\u2019s the most perfect answer because it\u2019s so true. That\u2019s what she\u2019s created with this. It\u2019s incredible filmmaking, and I can\u2019t wait for you to see it. I think people are going to love it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Inside the theater, Meghan took the stage to introduce Nahmias ahead of an early-morning screening of the film.\n<\/p>\n

Thanking attendees for arriving at 9 a.m. after a late night, Meghan joked that it was \u201cnothing that a little cookies and coffee can\u2019t help,\u201d before saying on behalf of herself, Harry and Archewell Productions that they were \u201cso proud and privileged to help support and uplift Cookie Queens.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, it\u2019s probably the cutest film at the festival,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I\u2019m also going to go out on a limb and say it\u2019s one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of an American tradition.”\n<\/p>\n

Describing the film, Meghan said it takes \u201csomething that is rooted in nostalgia\u201d and reexamines it through director Alysa Nahmias\u2019 creative lens to present a modern view of “the girlhood experience” \u2014 including \u201call the layers and complexities that come with that.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

“So yes, it\u2019s cute, and yes, these young ladies are fantastic and adorable, but they are also layered, beautiful girls who are about to become very strong leaders and young women,” she concluded.\n<\/p>\n

Both Harry and Meghan serve as executive producers on the 91-minute film that is screening in Sundance\u2019s Family Matinee category. Their involvement in the project was first announced in December.\n<\/p>\n

The documentary was directed by Alysa Nahmias, with Archewell Productions partnering alongside Beautiful Stories and AJNA Films.\n<\/p>\n

The project is a personal one for Meghan, who was a Girl Scout growing up in California, with her mother, Doria Ragland, serving as her troop leader.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a former Girl Scout myself, with my mom as my troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film,\u201d Meghan said in a statement shared by Deadline. \u201cI\u2019m proud that all our conversations and collaboration have led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award-winning team to executive produce this incredibly captivating documentary.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we first viewed the early footage, it was immediately something we wanted to be involved in,\u201d she continued. \u201cThe creative point of view, the edgy yet humanizing tone, and the glimpse behind the scenes of such a nostalgic \u2014 and also modern \u2014 tradition of Girl Scout Cookie season are absolutely irresistible.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
