West Rowan<\/a> lost to Salisbury<\/a> back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the Falcons and the Hornets didn’t end well, with the Falcons falling 80-66. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Hornets are ranked 104th).<\/p>\n

West Rowan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Caleb Queen<\/a>, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Donaldson<\/a>, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 15 points.<\/p>\n

Salisbury was led to victory by Braylon Taylor<\/a> and Jonathan Ross<\/a>. Taylor scored 27 points along with eight assists and seven boards, while Ross earned 21 points and six steals. Those eight assists gave Taylor a new career-high. Royce Perkins<\/a> was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.<\/p>\n

West Rowan’s loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Salisbury, they are on a roll lately: they’ve won seven of their last nine matchups. That’s provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.<\/p>\n

West Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-52 win against East Rowan on the 23rd. As for Salisbury, they have also already played their next game, a 79-57 victory against Northwest Cabarrus on the 23rd.<\/p>\n
