FLORAL PARK, Long Island (WABC) — A retired NYPD officer is among at least two people who died while shoveling snow during the storm in the Tri-State area.<\/p>\n

Roger McGovern, 60, an usher at Our Lady of Victory Church, collapsed while shoveling in Floral Park on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.<\/p>\n

The church held a virtual rosary service on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Additionally, officials say a 67-year-old man was found unresponsive on a sidewalk in Verona, New Jersey, with a shovel in his hand.<\/p>\n

He was taken to a local hospital but was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

His identity has not been released.<\/p>\n
