Longoria and Beckham\u2019s bond dates back to 2007, when their worlds collided through their then-husbands. Victoria Beckham had been married to football superstar David Beckham since 1999, while Longoria was married to NBA champion Tony Parker from 2007 to 2011.\u00a0<\/p>\n

David and Tony were friends, and that connection sparked something lasting. When the Beckhams relocated to Los Angeles, the friendship deepened. Over time, Longoria became not just a confidante but family. She is the godmother to the Beckhams\u2019 daughter, Harper Seven.<\/p>\n

In a 2023 interview with The Times, Longoria summed it up simply and sweetly. \u201cWe are peas in a pod.\u201d She didn\u2019t stop there. \u201cI wish people knew how funny and charming and smart Victoria is,\u201d she added. \u201cShe\u2019s the funniest person. She went on to describe the assumptions placed on women in those roles. \u201cIt\u2019s hard when you\u2019re married to an athlete because the world idolizes them. There\u2019s an assumption that goes with being a wife or a girlfriend is that you\u2019re a gold digger, you don\u2019t have a job, you just want to look pretty and spend money.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was at a time when I didn\u2019t feel creatively fulfilled so it\u2019s how I stayed in the conversation.
