Pro snowboarder Shaun White<\/a> pulled off a daredevil stunt that saw him soar right over the head of comedian Shane Gillis.<\/p>\n In social media fan footage<\/a> shared on Sunday, January 25, White, 39, was seen snowboarding along snow-dusted grounds in New York City\u2019s Central Park before launching into the air and above a seated Gillis, 38.<\/p>\n \u201cOnly in NYC,\u201d a caption on the wild Instagram video read. After White, a three-time Olympic gold medallist, nailed his stunt, the video showed him shake hands with Gillis as the visibly amused comic held a can of beer in his hand.<\/p>\n Additional footage showed White performing a somersault as crowds who had gathered to see the makeshift snow field cheered him on.<\/p>\n Shaun White Makes 1st TV Appearance Since Ending His Engagement to Nina Dobrev<\/a><\/p>\n Gillis shared a photo from the day via his Instagram grid on Sunday, capturing another moment where White flew over him and his Tires costar Chris O\u2019Connor as the pair huddled and smiled.<\/p>\n White and O\u2019Connor shared a joint Instagram video that captured the second sensational moment.<\/p>\n The video comes as the countdown to the 2026 Winter Olympics<\/a> continues. White, who retired from professional snowboarding in 2022, will serve as a broadcaster for NBC Sports. The pair had been a couple for five years and engaged since October 2024.<\/p>\n An insider exclusively told<\/a> Us Weekly at the time of their split that Dobrev, 37, and White ended their engagement after growing apart. \u201cThere was no drama here. No cheating was involved,\u201d the source told Us. \u201cThey were loyal to each other their entire relationship. At the end of the day, they\u2019re human beings, just like everyone else. They genuinely just grew apart and realized they would be better off just as friends and not husband and wife.\u201d<\/p>\n According to a second source, the former couple were already in the process of planning their nuptials when they decided to call their engagement off. \u201cThey had finally started planning the wedding and things were in motion,\u201d the second insider expanded, adding that Dobrev leaned on her friends at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s still very fresh, but she\u2019s been supported by her closest girlfriends who have been checking in on her.\u201d<\/p>\n Shane Gillis Amy Sussman\/Getty Images<\/p>\n While White is seemingly single, having not publicly confirmed any relationships since his breakup from Dobrev, the Vampire Diaries<\/a> alum is also on the market despite rumors of a romance with Zac Efron that circulated after the pair vacationed together following her and White\u2019s split.<\/p>\n A source exclusively confirmed to Us at the time, \u201cNina and Zac are not dating and have been good friends for over a decade. Their friends always joke that they should date, but that is not what is going on.
