{"id":113651,"date":"2026-01-27T07:28:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T07:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/113651\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T07:28:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T07:28:10","slug":"new-york-based-engineering-company-expands-into-pa-following-acquisition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/113651\/","title":{"rendered":"New York-based engineering company expands into Pa. following acquisition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JB7DKGBKQZDV5MIG4UFE7LXSMA\">An engineering company has expanded into Pennsylvania as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.driveengineering.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.driveengineering.com\/\">result of an acquisition.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KYUENTLO75BORIEYJ4ONSO3LPA\">VHB acquired Drive Engineering, a 16-year-old transportation engineering firm, with offices in East Pennsboro Township near Camp Hill; in Upper Gwynedd Township near Lansdale, Montgomery County, and in Philadelphia. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"IH7JHKGFUNCDFEU3ZPFVZEKIXY\">\u201cThis partnership reflects VHB\u2019s commitment to shaping the future of mobility while growing our presence in key markets like Pennsylvania,\u201d Michael Carragher, chair and CEO of VHB, said in a news release. \u201cBy combining Drive\u2019s technology-informed approach with VHB\u2019s integrated services, we can accelerate innovation and deliver smarter, more resilient transportation systems for communities across the East Coast.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"UFSULXZTHVCA7JRLEVYVEWVYGU\">Terms of the agreement weren\u2019t disclosed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"2YNABVX6RNFPVDRAKCWHT6L5CY\">Drive Engineering co-founders Mario Toscano and Allie Slizofski will join VHB.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HKPUJSD57VAVTJBBJAN5RU2E5A\">Officials at VHB said that through the acquisition, VHB will strengthen its capabilities in Intelligent Transportation Systems, traffic operations, and data-informed mobility planning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6GT7LSWAWVF2FDJUC63OUE6H54\">New York-based VHB employs around 2,300 scientists, planners, and designers.
