{"id":113873,"date":"2026-01-27T14:34:25","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T14:34:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/113873\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T14:34:25","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T14:34:25","slug":"queens-officials-attend-sino-american-commerce-association-board-inauguration-in-flushing-qns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/113873\/","title":{"rendered":"Queens officials attend Sino American Commerce Association board inauguration in Flushing \u2013 QNS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<img width=\"1200\" height=\"448\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/sino-american-commerce-association-group-photo-2026-0118-inauguration-ceremony.jpg\" class=\"crop-center wp-post-image\" alt=\"sino-american-commerce-association-group-photo-2026-0118-inauguration-ceremony\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Queens officials joined the Sino American Commerce Association for the inauguration of its 13th Board of Directors, celebrating its partnership with the local business community at the Royal Queen Restaurant in Flushing on Jan. 18.<\/p>\n<p>Courtesy Sino American Commerce Association<\/p>\n<p>Several Queens officials attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/nysaca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Sino American Commerce Association<\/a> inauguration of its 13th Board of Directors during a gala at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalqueenrestaurantnyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Royal Queen<\/a> restaurant in <a href=\"https:\/\/qns.com\/neighborhoods\/flushing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Flushing<\/a> on Jan. 18.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1,000 business and political leaders attended the event, according to a news release from SACA, which marked a leadership transition and a significant step forward in digital trade integration for the local business community.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, incoming SACA President Kent Zhou accepted the official seal from outgoing President Gary Kong and formally assumed leadership of the nonprofit business organization.<\/p>\n<p>SACA, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Flushing, brings together leaders from various sectors \u2014 including real estate, finance, technology, manufacturing and catering \u2014 that are dedicated to building a platform for information exchange and project cooperation for its members.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-597975\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/2026-0118-sino-american-commerce-Ken-zhou-Grace-meng-Gary-Kong.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Newly-installed SACA President Kent Zhou, left, Congresswoman Grace Meng and outgoing SACA President Gary Kong commemorate the transition in leadership as Kong gives Zhou an official seal.Courtesy Sino American Commerce Association<\/p>\n<p>Harry Weng, executive vice president of SACA, opened the inauguration ceremony, which blended formal business proceedings with cultural celebration. Entertainment included a classical \u201cPeony in Full Bloom\u201d sleeve dance by Ashley Liang and a performance featuring the hit song \u201cGolden\u201d from critically acclaimed animated film \u201cK-Pop Demon Hunters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was attended by U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, state Sen. John Liu, Assemblymember Lester Chang, Council Member Sandra Ung, and Li De, deputy director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/newyork.china-consulate.gov.cn\/eng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Consulate General of the People\u2019s Republic of China in New York<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dignitaries commended the association for its two decades of service in supporting immigrant entrepreneurs and fostering community economic prosperity, the news release said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince its founding in 2002, the Sino-American Commerce Association has played a vital role in supporting small and local businesses, which are the backbone of our neighborhoods and local economy,\u201d Councilwoman Ung said. \u201cCongratulations to the new board members as they take on this responsibility and begin a new chapter in the association\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis organization based in Flushing has worked for decades to promote trade, commerce, and economic activity,\u201d State Sen. Liu added. \u201cI was delighted to once again take part in their festivities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During his inaugural address, President Kent Zhou emphasized a vision for SACA grounded in innovation and pragmatism. He noted that the association has served as a bridge for commerce for over 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 13th Board constitutes a new chapter where we will not only continue serving our community but also actively assist members in adopting new technologies,\u201d Zhou said. \u201cOur goal is to help member companies identify and seize opportunities in the changing era.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zhou and a representative from Alibaba USA \u2014 a leading global B2B e-commerce platform \u2014 also signed a strategic cooperation agreement during the ceremony.
