Neil Young is following through on his October pledge to pull his music from Amazon, citing his opposition to the platform\u2019s owner and his political affiliations, Rolling Stone<\/a> reported. <\/p>\n

In a recent post on Neil Young Archives<\/a>, the musician confirmed his music will remain unavailable on Amazon as long as Jeff Bezos owns the company. Young, 80, cited Bezos\u2019 support of President Donald Trump, the administration\u2019s international policies and support of ICE. <\/p>\n

\u201cAmazon is owned by Jeff Bezos, a billionaire backer of the president,\u201d Young wrote. \u201cThe president\u2019s international policies and his support of ICE make it impossible for me to ignore his actions.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, Young encouraged fans to find his music through record stores or alternative digital services, acknowledging the decision hurts his record company in the short term.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy position is unfortunately harmful to my record company in the short term, but I think the message I am sending is important and clear,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThanks for buying music locally and from independent digital services.\u201d<\/p>\n

In another show of support, Young has gifted free access to his entire archives to Greenland residents in response to President Donald Trump\u2019s threats against the country. <\/p>\n

His complete catalog is available on the Neil Young Archives<\/a> platform, which regularly requires a subscription. The catalog includes live concerts, studio outtakes and concert films, the report said.<\/p>\n
