The body of a month-old boy found in a duffel bag stuffed in a closet<\/a> inside his family\u2019s apartment was in an advanced state of decomposition \u2014 and his mother told cops her son hadn\u2019t been home for at least two weeks before being arrested for hiding his corpse, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n

Gynae Kendall, 25, was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court late Monday, granted supervised release and ordered to undergo a psychiatric exam.<\/p>\n

The city Medial Exmainer is conducting an autopsy on little Adonnys Kendall to determine how he died in his family\u2019s home on Veronica Place near Beverly Road in East Flatbush. The body showed no obvious signs of trauma and blood and tissue tests could take weeks to complete, a law enforcement source said.<\/p>\n

Cops were called to the apartment about 7:30 p.m. Sunday after Kendall\u2019s mother called 911, concerned for her daughter\u2019s welfare.<\/p>\n

Kendall was home when police arrived but her baby was nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n

Kendall claimed Adonnys had not been home for two weeks but \u201cgave varying inconsistent statements about the child\u2019s whereabouts,\u201d prosecutors said in court papers.<\/p>\n

Cops searching the apartment found Adonnys\u2019 body \u201cwrapped in a duffel bag inside a closet,\u201d prosecutors said. The infant\u2019s \u201ceyes were sunken, his skin was sloughing and there was a strong odor of decomposition,\u201d court documents say.<\/p>\n

There were no marks on the infant\u2019s body and it wasn\u2019t immediately clear how long she had been dead.<\/p>\n

The city\u2019s Medical Examiner\u2019s office is trying to figure out how Adonnys died,<\/p>\n

Kendall has no prior criminal record, officials said. So far, all she has been charged with is concealment of a human corpse.<\/p>\n

The infant\u2019s death caught neighbors off guard.<\/p>\n

Neighbor Niaz Femd, who lives on the same floor as the mother, said she rarely saw the woman.<\/p>\n
