The family of 44-year-old Keon Gill, who was shot and killed in Kingsbridge early Sunday morning, is remember his life. <\/p>\n
\n\tThe Gill family tells News 12 he was celebrating his 44th birthday at a local bar at West 242 Street and Broadway on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
\n\tHe was accompanied by his brother, Luis, and a few friends.<\/p>\n
\n\tNews 12 was told the party ended just before 3 a.m. on Sunday and they left.<\/p>\n
\n\tPolice said multiple shots were fired, and Keon Gill was fatally shot in the chest. His brother was shot in the leg.
\n\tKeon Gill leaves behind five children.<\/p>\n
\n\tNo arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
\n\tNews 12 spoke exclusively with Michele Weissman, Gill’s girlfriend of 17 years. She said the incident was a case of wrong place, wrong time.<\/p>\n
\n\tWeissman described Gill as a dedicated father and a genuine soul. She said she doesn’t want the tragedy to overshadow his legacy.<\/p>\n
\n\t“I want people to remember him for the kind of kind-hearted, compassionate… most generous person you will ever meet.
