<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cA mockery of a conservative icon,\u201d Finn lamented, adding, \u201cOutrage has boiled over with conservatives calling it a heartless exploitation of grief and a new low in the culture wars. Critics say this isn\u2019t just satire, it\u2019s a personal attack. And once again, the left celebrates mockery of conservative figures.\u201d<\/p>\n Her co-host David Brody agreed, calling the performance \u201cpure evil,\u201d and adding, \u201cLeave this poor woman alone. Enough already.\u201d<\/p>\n Never Miss a Beat It\u2019s unclear whether any of the co-hosts actually watched the drag queen\u2019s full performance, beyond the 33 seconds of clips that she posted on her TikTok.<\/p>\n In the performance, the drag performer lip-synced to audio of Kirk\u00a0misquoting a Bible verse<\/a>\u00a0and telling right-wing conspiracy theorist Candace Owens to \u201cstop\u201d spreading lies about her husband. Owens has continually claimed that conspirators from Turning Point USA orchestrated Charlie Kirk\u2019s murder. Both Erika Kirk and her organization have begged Owens to stop, but Owens hasn\u2019t. None of the American Sunrise co-hosts mentioned Owens\u2019 continued campaign of slander against Kirk\u2019s organization.<\/p>\n The drag queen\u2019s outfit of a red blazer and sparkly undershirt was a recreation of a similar outfit that Erika Kirk wore in flashy public memorial events just a few months after her husband\u2019s death \u2014 looks that got her widely criticized on social media, especially as her organization used her husband\u2019s death to rake in hundreds of millions in new donations<\/a>.<\/p>\n While the other co-hosts called the drag performance \u201cgross\u201d and \u201ctasteless\u201d for \u201cpoking at a grieving widow,\u201d Brody seemed particularly bothered that a man would dress up as a woman for a theatrical performance because it goes against God, or something.<\/p>\n \u201cThese are men!\u201d Brody exclaimed, according to Raw Story<\/a>. \u201cThese are \u2014 these are men to leftists, dressed up as women. That\u2019s called a transvestite in 1974! You can\u2019t say that word today!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGod made woman and man, and you were just not \u2014 I just don\u2019t \u2014 I don\u2019t understand it. I will never understand it,\u201d he added. \u201cI can\u2019t comment without being just blithering.
