After a stripped-down acoustic opening, Brown and King turn the dial up a notch and let loose with a rockin\u2019 chorus. This one will be fun live.<\/p>\n After that comes the quiet \u201cThe Sum,\u201d which also follows the \u201cstart small and explode later\u201d playbook while evoking faith-based imagery.<\/p>\n The rousing \u201cLet It Run\u201d with Snoop Dogg is a welcome respite from the heaviness. Strings and upbeat vocals make up the first two minutes of the simple, crowd-pleaser. It\u2019s nice. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Snoop deconstructs the strummy jam and breaks the beat down, adding a bit of flair and flow to the proceedings.
