New York City FC today announced that the Club has loaned Forward Juli\u00e1n Fern\u00e1ndez to Argentine side\u00a0CA\u00a0Rosario Central through\u00a0December 2026, with\u00a0an option\u00a0to buy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the 2025 season with\u00a0the \u2018Boys in Blue,\u2019\u00a0Fern\u00e1ndez\u00a0made 41 appearances across all competitions scoring three goals and providing five assists\u00a0in regular season play.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis loan provides Juli\u00e1n with an important opportunity for increased playing time in a competitive environment,\u201d said Sporting Director Todd Dunivant. \u201cWith Rosario Central competing in the CONMEBOL Libertadores, this move supports his continued development and aligns with Juli\u00e1n\u2019s desire to be closer to home. Fern\u00e1ndez joined New York City FC in August 2023 and has made 77 appearances across all competitions, scoring\u00a0seven\u00a0goals and providing\u00a0eight\u00a0assists.\u00a0<\/p>\n
