Louis Dujmich, 69, of Huguenot, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 25, 2026, surrounded by his family following a battle with pancreatic cancer. A lifelong Staten Islander who grew up on Lighthouse Hill, Mr. Dujmich graduated as valedictorian from Monsignor Farrell High School before studying electrical engineering at The Cooper Union and earning his law degree from Fordham University, where he was salutatorian. <\/p>\n

He worked as a patent attorney in Manhattan, beginning his career at Kenyon & Kenyon and retiring as a partner from Ostrolenk Faber in 2018. Mr. Dujmich was passionate about restoring antique automobiles, completing his first restoration of a 1930 Ford Model A at age 16 and most recently a 1937 Ford Phaeton that won best in show. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary; children Daniel and Melanie; brother Carl; and granddaughter Vivienne.<\/p>\n
