People Magazine reports that David Beckham is “terrified” of losing his son Brooklyn Beckham following their very public feud earlier this year.

The family has reportedly not been on speaking terms following Brooklyn’s marriage to Nicola Peltz in 2022, but things finally blew up when Brooklyn took to social media to condemn his parents’ behavior towards his wife.

He claims that his mother, British pop star and model Victoria Beckham, “hijacked” his wedding and refused to design Peltz’ wedding dress “in the eleventh hour”—a betrayal that he claims stems from the couple’s disapproval of their son’s marriage.

David Beckham Is “Stunned” And “Saddened” By His Son’s Claims

People reports that David and his wife Victoria are “so beaten down” by the ongoing criticism from their son, but they’re “terrified” of losing Brooklyn forever. One source claims that the couple is “staying quiet because they don’t want to draw more attention to it.”

David Beckham rose to prominence throughout the ’90s with Manchester City, where his soccer career started. With six Premier League titles and two FA Cups under his belt, he quickly became one of his generation’s most decorated players. He also played for Real Madrid and Inter Miami, before retiring in May 2013 after a 21-year career.

The athlete has four children with his wife Victoria: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. His other children have remained quiet about the ongoing drama; another source admits that the family has taken a very strategic approach to the public feud. “They have to be smart about moves they make […] they are basically a billion-dollar corporation.”

While Brooklyn claims he “does not want to reconcile with [his] family”, his father is reportedly eager to “take him back in a minute.” However, this seems unlikely while Peltz is in the picture; the recent bride has a fractured relationship with her mother-in-law, which has caused much of the family drama.
