The drag superstar treated the audience at the Hirschfeld to an original song while making her Broadway debut.<\/p>\n

Comedian, actor, and author Bob The Drag Queen made\u00a0her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical<\/a> January
\n27. Watch the drag superstar take her first bow at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the video above. She also treated the audience to a bit of\u00a0her original song, “Purse First.”<\/p>\n

The artist is currently playing an eight-week limited engagement through March 22 as Harold Zidler. She succeeded\u00a0Robert Petkoff<\/a>, who\u00a0played the
\nrole through January 25.<\/p>\n

Non-binary
\n comic and actor Caldwell Tidicue, a.k.a. Bob The Drag Queen, won the title of America\u2019s Next Drag
\nSuperstar on season eight of RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race. Through
\n her work co-hosting HBO\u2019s unscripted We\u2019re Here,\u00a0she has
\nbeen awarded a Peabody Award, GLAAD Media Award, and a Television
\nAcademy Honors recognition. Sibling Rivalry, her podcast
\nwith fellow Drag Race star Mon\u00e9t X Change, also won a Queerty Award as well as a GLAAD
\nMedia Award for Outstanding Podcast. The multitalented artist was also seen in the third season of The Traitors, was Master of Ceremonies for Madonna\u2019s international Celebration Tour, completed her own world comedy tour, and dropped a comedy special Woke Man in a Dress. Her debut novel, Harriet Tubman: Live In Concert, is a New York Times best-seller.<\/p>\n

The current cast also includes Christian Douglas<\/a> as Christian, Meg
\nDonnelly as Satine, Andr\u00e9 Ward<\/a> as Toulouse-Lautrec, David Harris
\nas The Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas<\/a> as Santiago, Samantha Dodemaide<\/a> as
\nNini Hailee, and Arianna Rosario<\/a> as the Satine Alternate.<\/p>\n

Moulin Rouge!, based on the 2001 film, opened on Broadway in
\n 2019 following a Boston tryout. The musical was subsequently nominated
\nfor 14 Tony Awards in 2020, winning 10, including Best Musical.<\/p>\n

The production is directed by Alex Timbers<\/a> with a book by John Logan<\/a>
\n(based on the Baz Luhrmann-directed movie of the same name) and
\nchoreography by Sonya Tayeh<\/a>. The score features covers of “Firework” by
\nKaty Perry, “Your Song” by Elton
\n John, and “Chandelier” by Sia, among many other modern pop songs. The
\nstory takes place at Paris’ famed Moulin Rouge and follows the tragic
\nlove story between performer Satine and composer Christian.<\/p>\n

The production’s music team includes musical supervisor Justin
\nLevine, music producer Matt Stine<\/a>, and music director Andrew Graham<\/a>.
\nOrchestrations are by Levine, Stine, Katie Kresek<\/a>, and Charlie Rosen<\/a>,
\nwith dance arrangements by Levine and Stine.<\/p>\n

Also on the creative team are scenic designer Derek McLane<\/a>, costume
\ndesigner Catherine Zuber<\/a>, lighting designer Justin Townsend<\/a>, sound
\ndesigner Peter Hylenski<\/a>, hair designer David Brian Brown<\/a>, and makeup
\ndesigner Sarah Cimino<\/a>, with creative services by Luhrmann and Catherine
