A close friend of Victoria Beckham has defended her after Brooklyn Beckham claimed his mother behaved \u201cinappropriately\u201d during a dance at his wedding to Nicola Peltz Beckham. The fallout centers on Brooklyn, claiming that his mother, \u201chijacked\u201d what was meant to be his first dance with his bride, during their 2022 Florida wedding.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a friend of the former Spice Girl\u00a0<\/a>said, \u201cWhy shouldn\u2019t Victoria be tactile with her son? She is tactile with all her children, and she has always been. She has nothing to apologize for, yet she has been vilified for years now, and that is disgusting. The Beckhams are a tactile family.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cDavid still kisses the boys when they come home. They have always been close and cuddly, and Brooklyn has been tactile, too. It was authentic. David and Victoria are young, soppy parents, and yet last week, she was shamed for it. It is deeply unfair and upsetting. There was nothing inappropriate about the dance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the strength of Brooklyn<\/a>\u2019s recent remarks, sources close to David,<\/a> and Victoria have insisted the couple are not angry with their eldest son and is instead heartbroken by the situation. A source said there is \u201cabsolutely no anger\u201d, adding, \u201cThere is desperate sadness and worry and lots of confusion. All David and Victoria want is to have a relationship with their son. Whatever happens, they will always be here for him, and they desperately want him to know that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn made the allegations<\/a> in a strongly worded public statement earlier this month, revisiting events from his wedding day. He said, \u201cIn front of our 500 wedding guests, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife, but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cShe danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I\u2019ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Brooklyn\u2019s account has been questioned by others involved in the wedding. Celebrity planner Preston Bailey, who worked with Brooklyn and Nicola for 11 months, said he \u201cdidn\u2019t see any tension\u201d during the preparations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking to the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column, he said, \u201cIt surprises me that he is taking this stand against his parents. That\u2019s not the Brooklyn I met. He was a nice, gentle guy.\u201d\u00a0Bailey also dismissed claims that Nicola, 30, was controlling during the process, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t remember her being bossy. I remember a lot of affection between them. She wasn\u2019t going to do anything without his approval.\u201d<\/p>\n
