Victoria and David Beckham are taking the high road when it comes to son Brooklyn, Rob Shuter reported in his Naughty But Nice<\/a> Substack on Friday, January 30.<\/p>\n

After Brooklyn confirmed his estrangement from his family in a scathing post<\/a> on Instagram Stories on Monday, January 19, the Beckhams declined to respond<\/a> publicly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not going negative \u2014 yet,\u201d a family source told Shuter. \u201cBut trust me, they know everything about this kid. And it hasn\u2019t been easy.\u201d<\/p>\n

An insider told Shuter that Brooklyn, 26, had \u201cno steady jobs\u201d and \u201cno real friends\u201d before meeting wife Nicola Peltz, but acted entitled.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrooklyn inherited money, access, and power he never earned,\u201d one source said. \u201cThat changes a person \u2014 especially when no one ever says no.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of bad \u2014 very bad \u2014 behavior the family quietly covered up for years,\u201d the insider added.<\/p>\n

For now, the fashion designer, 51, and the soccer legend, 50, are \u201cprotecting him \u2014 and the brand,\u201d a friend told Shuter. \u201cBut don\u2019t confuse silence with innocence.\u201d<\/p>\n
