STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d will continue its 51st season tonight.<\/p>\n
On Jan. 31, actor Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd will make his debut on the late-night sketch comedy series as host, with rapper Cardi B returning as the musical guest.<\/p>\n
The show kicked off its 51st season on Oct. 4, 2025, with musician Bad Bunny as host and musical guest Doja Cat performing.<\/p>\n
On Oct. 11, 2025, former SNL cast member Amy Poehler hosted alongside musical guest Role Model. Poehler anchored \u201cWeekend Update\u201d<\/a> during her tenure and has hosted twice before \u2014 once in 2010<\/a> and again in 2015 alongside Tina Fey, who made a surprise appearance during Saturday\u2019s cold open<\/a>. Musician Charli XCX also made an appearance during Role Model\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n Popular singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter took on double duty as both host and musical guest on Oct. 18, 2025. This was Carpenter\u2019s hosting debut, but she previously performed on the show in 2024<\/a> and alongside Paul Simon at the SNL50 anniversary special<\/a> in February 2025.<\/p>\n On Nov. 1, 2025, actor Miles Teller hosted alongside musical guest Brandi Carlile. Teller previously hosted<\/a> \u201cSNL\u201d in October 2022, and Carlile has been the \u201cSNL\u201d musical guest three times before<\/a>: in October 2021, in December 2022, and with Elton John in April 2025.<\/p>\n Standup comedian Nikki Glaser made her \u201cSNL\u201d hosting debut on Nov. 8, 2025. Twenty-year-old musical guest Sombr made his \u201cSNL\u201d debut alongside her.<\/p>\n Actor Glen Powell also made his \u201cSNL\u201d hosting debut on Nov. 15, 2025, joined by first-time musical guest Olivia Dean, a 2026 Grammy nominee for Best New Artist.<\/p>\n After a two-week hiatus, \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d returned with a new episode Dec. 6, 2025, with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon, marking McCarthy\u2019s sixth time hosting, her first since 2017, and Dijon\u2019s \u201cSNL\u201d debut.<\/p>\n Actor Josh O\u2019Conner made his \u201cSNL\u201d debut as host on Dec. 13, 2025. He was joined by Lily Allen, who returned to the show as a musical guest for the first time since 2007.<\/p>\n Ariana Grande returned to host for the third time on Dec. 20, 2025, with Cher joining as the musical guest. This marked Cher\u2019s second time performing on the show as the musical guest, her first being in 1987.<\/p>\n On Jan. 17, 2026, after a three-week hiatus, \u201cStranger Things\u201d actor Finn Wolfhard made his \u201cSNL\u201d debut as host and with rapper A$AP Rocky as the musical guest.<\/p>\n Actress and musician Teyana Taylor then made her \u201cSNL\u201d hosting debut on Jan. 24, 2026, alongside musical guest Geese.<\/p>\n Former Staten Islander Colin Jost, the longest-serving \u201cWeekend Update\u201d anchor in the show\u2019s history, is still behind the desk.
