WEST BRIGHTON, Staten Island (WABC) — Flames shot through the roof of a West Brighton, Staten Island home overnight.<\/p>\n

Firefighters raced to a home on Bard Avenue around 1:14 a.m.<\/p>\n

192 fire and emergency personnel responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

The fire escalated to a second alarm, then to a third.<\/p>\n

Flames seared the first and second floors and could be seen burning through the attic roof.<\/p>\n

One firefighter and a resident suffered minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire is under investigation.<\/p>\n
