President Trump has threatened to sue discredited author Michael Wolff, as well as the estate of Jeffrey Epstein \u2014 as he insists that the latest mass dump of files<\/a> related to the pedophile financier absolves him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it\u2019s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left,\u201d Trump told reporters on Air Force One as he flew to Florida late Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Trump accused Wolff, who wrote an unauthorized biography<\/a> of the president, of \u201cconspiring\u201d with Epstein to try and destroy his political career.<\/p>\n

Here is the latest on Jeffrey Epstein documents released by DOJ:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll probably sue Wolff on it. And maybe the Epstein estate I guess, I don\u2019t know, but we\u2019re certainly gonna sue him,\u201d President Trump said.<\/p>\n

He claimed Epstein \u201cwas conspiring with Wolff to do harm to me politically. That\u2019s not a friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wolff featured in many of the Epstein documents published during last November\u2019s release, in which he appeared to be acting as the disgraced financier\u2019s unofficial adviser and publicist before the 2016 election.<\/p>\n

In February 2016, Wolff suggested Epstein could be the \u201cbullet\u201d<\/a> to end Trump\u2019s 2016 presidential campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, you\u2019re the Trump bullet,\u201d Wolff responded to an email from Epstein, who noted that he was being approached by more reporters as Trump\u2019s popularity in the polls grew.<\/p>\n

In another email, Wolff floated the possibility of intimidating Trump for his own benefit<\/a> \u2014 as he warned Epstein that the then-GOP candidate could be asked about their alleged ties while on the campaign trail.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you \u2014 either on air or in scrum afterwards,\u201d Wolff wrote to Epstein in December 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you should let him hang himself,\u201d he added in a follow-up the next day.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he says he hasn\u2019t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Responding to questions about the documents, Wolff said at the time that he couldn\u2019t remember the context.<\/p>\n
