There were no injuries reported after a fire broke out on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 1, in a residential building in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx, according to the fire department.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
An FDNY spokesperson said the department received a call at 2.04 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a fire in the walls of the basement and first floor of a residential building at 4449 Park Avenue located between East 181st Street and East 182nd Street.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said 21 units, comprising 79 fire & EMS personnel responded to the scene and the fire was brought under control at 2.50 p.m. with no injuries.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson added that the fire marshal was notified [in order to carry out an investigation into the cause, which was not yet known\/shared.] Norwood News has reached out to the Red Cross for details of any displaced residents and will share any further information as it becomes available.<\/p>\n

Later on Sunday, as reported<\/a>, residents of 15 East 199th Street said a boiler outage and a smell of oil fumes resulted in the FDNY being called to their building in Bedford Park. There do not appear to be any injuries.
