Hyundai has issued a safety recall for airbag issues in newer models of one of its popular SUVs. <\/p>\n
Around 568,575 vehicles are affected by the recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to documents filed with the highway safety agency, third-row side curtain airbags may not deploy properly in the event of a crash.<\/p>\n This recall affects 2020-2025 model years of Hyundai\u2019s Palisade SUV.<\/p>\n The auto manufacturer warned that an investigation into the cause of the airbag issue is still ongoing.<\/p>\n As such, a fix for the issue is still being developed, according to Hyundai.<\/p>\n The manufacturer will contact owners by mail beginning on March 23.<\/p>\n Palisade owners can contact the company\u2019s customer service line at (855) 371-9460 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration\u2019s safety hotline at (888) 327-4236 to see if they are affected by the recall.<\/p>\n In December, Hyundai issued a recall for approximately 51,500 vehicles because of a fire risk<\/a> from wiring in an optional trailer hitch.<\/p>\n
