Jimmy Fallon returned to Upstate New York over the new weekend to visit a favorite pub\u2019s new location.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d host and former \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d star appeared at Mulconry\u2019s Irish Pub and Restaurant in Greece on Saturday night, according to multiple reports<\/a>. Fallon was spotted chatting with people, taking photos<\/a>, and helping to serve drinks from behind the bar.<\/p>\n Social media videos<\/a> show Fallon even joined local musician Davey Allen to sing a cover of Nirvana\u2019s \u201cSmells Like Teen Spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n Fallon has previously visited Mulcrony\u2019s in Fairport multiple times. The pub opened its second location on Jan. 17 in Greece, near Rochester.<\/p>\n \u201cSeventeen is my lucky number,\u201d owner Damien Mulconry, who opened the first Mulconry\u2019s 17 years ago, told Spectrum News<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n Both pubs feature a mix of Irish and American dishes, live music, and a full bar with local beer on tap, plus Guinness and Harp Lager. Mulconry said he never planned to open a second spot until someone approached him with the idea to spread \u201csome Irish love\u201d; his brother Peter will manage the new location.<\/p>\n Fallon, who also sometimes visits the nearby Iron Smoke Distillery<\/a>, is a longtime friend of Mulconry. They met more than 20 years ago when Mulconry moved from Ireland to New York City and worked as a bartender at The Gaf West, one of Fallon\u2019s favorite NYC bars.<\/p>\n Fallon previously said he tries to come out to visit once or twice a year, typically around St. Patrick\u2019s Day. He helped Mulconry\u2019s celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2018<\/a>, and has also visited Shaughnessy\u2019s Irish Pub in Syracuse<\/a> with fellow comedian Nate Bargatze in 2024.<\/p>\n Fallon, who was a cast member on \u201cSNL\u201d from 1998 to 2004, has hosted \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d since 2014. He grew up in Saugerties, and often shouts out his Upstate NY roots on TV, cheering on Syracuse basketball<\/a> and referencing locations like Oneonta<\/a> in late-night skits. Fallon is also known for his musical talents, often performing songs with The Roots and celebrity guests.<\/p>\n \u201cI love the people here. It\u2019s super fun,\u201d Fallon told WHEC last year.<\/p>\n
