After recent escalations from the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) will receive witness testimony Tuesday on the violent use of force by agents.

The public forum is the second Blumenthal and Garcia have hosted as part of an ongoing inquiry into tactics used by federal immigration agents.

“We will have witnesses from across the country showing that the brutality and violence spans the entire United States and cries out for reigning in this out-of-control agency that is causing so much tragedy,” said Blumenthal.

The forum will be held in Washington, D.C. at 3 p.m.

Lawmakers will hear testimony from five witnesses:
