MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) – A local photographer is playing cupid this Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a twist to Brooklyn Earhart\u2019s \u201cstranger sessions.\u201d<\/p>\n
She matches up two strangers, blindfolds them then photographs the moment they meet.<\/p>\n
Earhart hopes even if the couples she matches don\u2019t fall madly in love, at least maybe they\u2019ll find a new friend and have a little fun.<\/p>\n
This is the first time Briana Hauck and Evan Izzi have met. Photos capture the unforgettable moment.<\/p>\n
They both signed up for one of Brooklyn Earhart\u2019s \u201cstranger sessions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey fill out this form, and I take what everybody explains about themselves and what they look for in another person. I kind of match them up that way,\u201d Earhart explained.<\/p>\n
Both Hauck and Izzi admitted they were a little nervous to take the blindfolds off.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t know what he looked like, or what was going to happen or what I was walking into, really,\u201d said Hauck.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust a touch nervous. But it\u2019s a fun experience,\u201d added Izzi.<\/p>\n
Earhart said she\u2019s got some butterflies, too; this is her first time playing cupid.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is all new for me,\u201d she said with a laugh.<\/p>\n
For Earhart, it challenges her photography skills, and it helps her meet new people. <\/p>\n
\u201cJust the smiles and the fun that comes out of it. I mean, whether you go on a date afterwards or maybe this is just a new friend. It\u2019s just it\u2019s so fun to interact with people,\u201d said Earhart.<\/p>\n
Earhart has photographed five couples so far. Three of those five have gone on dates after their stranger session.<\/p>\n
Earhart said she doesn\u2019t have any expectations. But she admits, she is invested in every couple\u2019s story.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf this does turn into something, you know, I\u2019m here for engagement photos or wedding photos,\u201d laughed Earhart.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s a love story, she said, would be nothing short of picture perfect.<\/p>\n
