The shop has been run by Rocco Arena since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>What You Need To Know<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s widely noticed winter coat was embroidered at Arena Embroidery in Brooklyn<br \/>\n<br \/>The Carhartt coat includes city branding and a quote hidden inside the collar from Mamdani\u2019s primary night speech<br \/>\n<br \/>Arena Embroidery has previously customized items worn by Mamdani and even by Bad Bunny<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really incredible to see it caught on so fast, and we are grateful to be a part of making it happen for him,\u201d Arena said.<\/p>\n<p>The coat features the word \u201cMayor\u201d stitched on the left sleeve and the municipal logo, \u201cThe City of New York,\u201d on the front right chest.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/55060127468_0d60213c17_k.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"hashed-image\" img-data-alignment=\"center\" img-data-width=\"percent-hundred\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Less visible is a quote sewn inside the collar: \u201cNo problem too big. No task too small,\u201d a line from Mamdani\u2019s speech after winning the Democratic mayoral primary last summer.<\/p>\n<p>To make that detail work, the collar needed an adjustment \u2014 handled by a tailor who goes simply by Zaer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pretty bizarre I\u2019m not going to lie, I get called to do some random jobs, but this is by far one of the ones that see it everywhere popping up, the mayor\u2019s new jacket, this and that, I\u2019m kind of surprised,\u201d Zaer said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mamdani_coat_arena_embroidery_nyc_roger_clark_ny1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"hashed-image\" img-data-alignment=\"center\" img-data-width=\"percent-hundred\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the team behind the coat are co-shop managers Nalu Yata and Renzo Diaz.<\/p>\n<p>It isn\u2019t the first time Mamdani has worn something embroidered at Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Over the summer, he wore a hat made for Brooklyn\u2019s Tonita\u2019s Caribbean Social Club \u2014 an item that also caught national attention when Grammy winner and Super Bowl halftime performer Bad Bunny wore it to a Yankees game.
