When it comes to women’s health, I guess you can say that New York’s status is not too shabby for 2026. A recent study took a look at a number of key areas that most impact women’s health, comparing each state side by side, and New York’s findings helped to lift us towards the top.<\/p>\n

\"CNYBest States For Women’s Health, A Research Overview<\/p>\n

When you think about health in general, you may not necessarily consider all of the factors that can fall under the umbrella. Things like wellness, eating well, exercise, even mental health may come to mind. There are so many other elements that come together under the health umbrella, especially for women, and SmileHub<\/a> took all of those into consideration when conducting this study.<\/p>\n

During their research, SmileHub<\/a> looked at 18 key metrics across three key dimensions; health and living standards, health care policies and support systems, and safety risk. Each metric was assigned a weight, and the 50 states were compared and ranked accordingly.<\/p>\n

Falling only behind Massachusetts, Hawaii and Connecticut, New York landed at the number four spot with a total of 72.02 points (side note: MA only scored 75.80, so the scores were quite close).<\/p>\n

New York excelled in areas like Health & Wellness Charities per Woman (1st), Depression Rate for Women (3rd), Women’s Life Expectancy at Birth (4th) and for Quality of Women’s Hospitals (7th).<\/p>\n

For the categories, New York ranked third for both Safety and Health Care Policies & Support Systems, and 11th for Health & Living Standards.<\/p>\n
