Republicans view ICE favorably, support the way they are working and nearly three-quarters want additional ICE agents sent to New York City. Democrats and independents say exactly the opposite: unfavorable to ICE, don\u2019t like the way they work, and don\u2019t want more of them in the Big Apple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Roughly 40% of voters support deporting people who are in the United States illegally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The poll also says Governor Kathy Hochul saw her highest ever favorability rating of 49%. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the poll, the Democrat holds a commanding lead over her likely Republican opponent Bruce Blakeman in November\u2019s election.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WWNY.
