The Queens Quay streetcar tunnel has swallowed another vehicle.<\/p>\n

Const. Viktor Sarudi, of Toronto Police, told CP24 on Tuesday that a man drove a grey Honda Accord into the infamous tunnel and left it there. The vehicle was allegedly stolen, according to the Toronto Star.<\/p>\n

Const. Sarudi also said that the driver left on foot after parking the car at the Ferry Docks station.<\/p>\n
The driver was later reportedly arrested, though Toronto Police had not yet released details. According to the Star, the male driver, 40, has been charged with dangerous driving and possession of stolen property. More charges may be laid, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the driver was not injured and there were no injuries at the scene.<\/p>\n
Service on the TTC\u2019s 510 streetcar line was disrupted from about noon to shortly after 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

It is not the first time that an unauthorized vehicle has entered the tunnel.<\/p>\n
In January 2020<\/a>, a driver followed a TTC streetcar into the tunnel, making it all the way to Union Station before getting stuck.<\/p>\n In October 2018, gates were installed to prevent such driving mistakes, which by then had happened 25 times since 2014<\/a>.<\/p>\n
