Kathy Hochul announced that a new power supply contract between the New York Power Authority and Alcoa has been signed.<\/p>\n<p>Alcoa, a major aluminum supplier in Massena, is one of the North Country&#8217;s largest employers.<\/p>\n<p>The deal will provide $30 million in capital investments and supports 500 jobs at the plant over the next 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>It also includes a 240-megawatt allocation of low-cost power through the &#8220;Preservation Power&#8221; program.<\/p>\n<p>That will support Alcoa&#8217;s operations through March 2036.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Gov.
