Four men wearing masks and carrying handguns followed a Jets player from New York City bars and clubs to his Morristown home before robbing him in his driveway<\/a>, according to police.<\/p>\n

\u201cGive me everything you have\u201d and \u201cdon\u2019t do anything stupid,\u201d one or more of the robbers said as they took a $10,000 watch and $400 cash from the victim in a heist on Feb. 15, 2025, according to an affidavit of probable cause.<\/p>\n

Noah Shaffer<\/a>, 26, of Paterson, was charged last month with two counts of first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery. <\/p>\n

Shaffer remains in the Bergen County Jail, where he has been held since Aug. 21, 2025, on unrelated charges of aggravated assault on a police officer and motor vehicle theft.<\/p>\n

The affidavit states Shaffer\u2019s cellphone number connected on the day of the robbery to multiple cell towers in New York and in Morristown, near the football player\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

The Morris County Prosecutor\u2019s Office is withholding the name of the victim.<\/p>\n

\u201cAT&T records showed the user of this number to be \u2018Street Monkey,\u2019 with a common address belonging to (Shaffer),\u201d detectives wrote in the affidavit.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Morristown police obtained surveillance video from bars and clubs the player had visited hours earlier in New York City. <\/p>\n

The video showed a stolen SUV used in the robbery \u201cpositioned outside of the locations waiting for the victims to leave,\u201d the affidavit states.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video showed the SUV crossing over the George Washington Bridge into New York around 2:35 a.m.<\/p>\n

Video also showed the victims\u2019 vehicle \u2013 with the player, acquaintances and a driver inside \u2013 being \u201cclosely followed\u201d by the suspects\u2019 vehicle back over the bridge around 7:38 a.m., according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n

When the player\u2019s vehicle pulled into his driveway, the SUV blocked them in and four masked men carrying handguns got out and robbed him, police said.<\/p>\n

No other arrests have been made, and the prosecutor\u2019s office did not say why it took nearly a year to arrest Shaffer.<\/p>\n
